Hafnia
Hafnia nestles like a hidden gem between some of the most charming stores and bars in the inner city. The menu here is mainly vegan with everything from cashew yogurt and avocado sandwiches to vegan risotto, veggie burgers and poke dishes. However, they’re not fanatical, if you want beef in your burger or a fried egg on top, you can also order that. In addition to wine and beer, they serve fresh pressed juice, shakes and shots to quench any thirst – we recommend the Ruby juice made from beetroot, carrot, ginger and lemon.

Souls
Based on the motto Eat Like You Give a Fork, Souls welcomes diners to their award winning, sustainable vegan cuisine, that is both sinfully delightful and genuinely delicious. Try their acai dishes, overnight oats and pancakes stacked high for breakfast, ramen with tofu or a pulled mushroom burger for lunch and then a selection of salads, burgers and pizzas in the evening. The drinks list includes juice, beer, wine and cocktails and they often have a happy hour with cocktails for Dkr100. Relaxed, urban atmosphere with enthusiastic and helpful personnel.

42Raw
Sometimes, only a burger will do. In which case, 42 Raw offers delicious plant-based burgers, with a choice of classic, spicy or truffle style. All three consist of a substantial burger based on a gluten-free bun and protein steak topped with e.g. marinated red onion, tomato and tarragon mayo, truffle marinated portobello mushroom or jalapeno and chili mayo.A side of sweet potato fries costs an extra Dkr20, in which case you’ll not want to eat again for hours. They also have breakfast dishes, healthy salads and gluten-free sandwiches on the menu, plus all kinds of vegan lattes, shakes and juices. The entire menu is gluten and lactose free and 100% plant-based.

Kaf’ - vegan patisserie
Denmark’s first vegan patisserie is a cornucopia of delicious cakes and sweet concoctions, that can compete with conventional equivalents in every way. You can choose from a number of handsome and delicious cheesecakes, cinnamon buns, croissants, meringues and chocolate pralines, super sandwiches and fresh baked buns. The prices are pretty reasonable, the atmosphere is the epitome of Danish hygge and everything is 100% vegan.

California Kitchen
Cameron and Lisa Bergh from San Francisco have taken super healthy Californian cuisine and created a mecca of dishes, salads and soups, plus drinks such as coconut water, ginger kombucha and rhubarb soda water. The dishes and salads are composed of meat-free versions or with e.g. salmon, tuna or chicken. They also offer vegan cookies, vegan lemon cake and natural chewing gum. You can either eat in at one of their three light and spacious, summer like central locations or order a take away.
